When God’s grace fades away, What next?

Uncategorized 72

Do you know our God is a loving God that is full of Mercy? He is willing to accept us so far we willingly go back to Him! But, have you ever sat for a minute to imagine what will happen when His mercies fade away?

Yes, Our God is full in Mercy, but you shouldn’t forget He is also a consuming fire!

In the book of Jonah Chapter 1, 2, 3, and 4, the Bible revealed the Love of God. Jonah said in the book of Jonah 4: 2; He prayed to the Lord, “Isn’t this what I said, Lord when I was still at home? That is what I tried to forestall by fleeing to Tarshish.

I knew that you are a gracious and compassionate God, slow to anger and abounding in love, a God who relents from sending calamity. What is that sin distancing you from reaching out to God? Hey buddy, He is full of Mercy, and He’s willing to forgive you if you go back to Him…

The people of Nineveh after drowning in their sins, God wanted to destroy them, so He sent Jonah to pass the message to them. After disobeying God by fleeing to Tarshish, Jonah finally obeyed God by asking God to forgive Him. He went to Nineveh and told them God would destroy them in forty days. (Jonah 3:4)!

The Bible says that the King and the people put on sack clothes and cried to the Lord ( Jonah 3:9). When God saw that they were sober, He forgave them and did not bring upon them destruction.

Our God is merciful; He is willing to forgive us as many times as we sin. But what will happen when his Grace fades away?

The Bible talked about the fall of Nineveh in the book of Nahum.

Nahum, Chapter 2 and 3 talked about the planned destruction of God for the people of Nineveh. In verse 13 of the book of Nahum 2, the Bible says:  “I am against you,” declares the Lord Almighty. “I will burn up your chariots in smoke, and the sword will devour your young lions.

I will leave you no prey on the earth. The voices of your messengers will no longer be heard.”

After God had forgiven the people of Nineveh, they still went back and repeatedly sinned against God. After some time, the Grace of God faded away, and Nineveh was destroyed. In the book of Nahum, we never heard about Nineveh again all because the Grace of God faded away.

The Bible says in the book of Romans 6:1, “What shall we say, then? Shall we go on sinning so that Grace may increase?” Have you taken some minutes to think of what will happen when the Grace of God fades away?

When God grace fades away, there is nothing anyone can do…. I conclude with this story!

A man of God once talked about a woman who was dying. She was brought to Him for prayers. When He laid his hands on her head, he felt the healing anointing flowing back into his hands. He tried the second time, and the same thing happened. After trying the second time, he went to God, and our God said, “I have warned her repeatedly, but she refused to change! Unfortunately, she was the wife of a Pastor in her church. The man of God returned to where she was laid, and immediately He got there; he saw that she was dead.

Don’t joke with the Grace of God; when it dies in a man’s life, that’s just the end! I pray God will help us so we won’t repeatedly dwell in our sins in the mighty name of Jesus. Amen!
