Who are you Dishonoring?
Do you know there are some heights you cannot mount without understanding the mystery of honor?
Hebrew 7:7 says, “Now beyond all contradiction, the lesser is blessed by, the better.” (New King James Version)
There’s always a seed you need to plant before you have access to some heights in life.
Prayer and fasting are the seed for both personal and spiritual revival. There is no time you need an outstanding revival that prayer and fasting shouldn’t be involved. When you don’t fast and pray when looking for revival, you’ve just added fertilizer to the soil without a seed.
Now, this is where I am going to, “Honor is the seed for access!” That means dishonor is the seed of barriers.
The breakthroughs we desire in life depend on the number of access we have.
In the realm of the spirit, anytime there is a limitation standing before you, then there is a dimension of this law (Law of honor) that you need to embrace. All failures in life can be traced to dishonor—dishonor to God, Dishonor to men, and dishonor to Spiritual principles.
What then is Honor?
Honor is you discerning who you should value! When a door closes, the key that can open it is— honor to God, honor to men, honor to certain principles, or the combination of the three.
If you can hold on to the law of honor, no devil can stop you from standing out. The Bible made us know, honor is required for any form of lifting in life.
The Bible talked about a man who honored Jeremiah in the book of Jeremiah 38: 7.
The name of the man was Ebed-melech( An Ethiopian); when he heard that Prophet Jeremiah was in kept in a cistern, he ran to the King to beg him on behalf of Jeremiah because he knew Jeremiah was a prophet that should be honored.( Jeremiah 37:8-10).
His plea was embraced by the King and Prophet Jeremiah was released from the cistern. Just because of that act of honor Ebed-melech the Ethiopian showed to Jeremiah, God saved him from all forms of evil.
The Bible says in the book of Jeremiah 39:15-18, “The Lord had given the following message to Jeremiah while he was still in prison: “Say to Ebed-melech the Ethiopian, ‘This is what the Lord of Heaven’s Armies, the God of Israel, says: I will do to this city everything I have threatened. I will send disaster, not prosperity. You will see its destruction, but I will rescue you from those you fear so much. Because you trusted me, I will give you your life as a reward. I will rescue you and keep you safe. I, the Lord, have spoken!’” (NLT)
When you honor a man and have access to his heart, you don’t have to struggle to rise! When he rises, you rise too. Honor will accelerate your life beyond your wildest imagination.
When you dishonor God, and those God has placed above you, there’s every possibility you will never rise in life.
